Happy Endings. What is the affect on her sense of self?

I think that what is affecting her sense of self is that she doesn't want to be like Shiryl. She actually wants to be her, because she thinks that Shiryl is so pretty, popular, and she gets every ones attention. What Lovey want is to fit in, because she feels very left out, like she is out of place. Even though she doesn't say so she kind of gives you the impression that she feels a little shame for being Japanese, lovey feels that she is not American enough for people to be able to except her for who she is instead of just judging her. She also seems to find Shiryl always so happy and that's all she wants too.

Intro to essay 3

The question that comes to my mind is ''does family shape ones identity? I think that family does shape ones identity because without famliy you don't have the support that your looking for. In life you have to face so many challenges, and sometime all you need is someone to be understanding, and what better people to understand you than your family. In my personal expeirience my family has shaped my identity, they have helped me figure out who I really am. The way that they have done so is by giving me personal challenges, and that has helped me to build a stronger personality. So that is why I think that family does shape ones identity.

collaboration

Some of the advantages that working with a group has are that you can get more work done if you divide the work properly. It is also a good way to get to know your classmates a little better. Sometime when you get put in groups with people that you don't really know you may not feel as comfortable working with them. Like advantages it also has disadvantages for example you are in a group of five and three of the five people you are working with are friends, lets just say they haven't talked in two days, all they want to do is catch up so they begin to talk. What happens to the other two people in the group they either get stuck doing all the work or not do anything at all. And thats where procastination begins. That's why I think working with a group has advantages and disadvantages.

Home to me is my family, where I come from and where I grew up. The reason that I say home to me is my family is because they are the ones that are with me through good and bad, the ones who taught me responsibilty. They are also the ones who helped shape my life. They are also the most important thing that I have in life, and I value them so much, because there is no other people that will ever care about me as much as they do. Another thing that I call home is the place that I come from, and I consider that my home because thats where all my roots are, it's my nationality.
