Are lies good or bad?
The question isn't "do we expect people to lie to us" the question is "are we prepared to hear people lie to us"? And the truth is that we can never be "prepared" to hear a person lie to us, because you never know when someone is lying or telling the truth to you...Another question that is asked with frequency is, is lying good or bad? Well I can't really say if it is good or bad because no matter how hard we try not to lie we do it so often without even noticing or we do it because we think that "we are doing the right thing". But are we really doing the right thing when we are asked for an honest opinion and we lie just so we don't make the other person feel bad? I think that no matter if the lie is big or small it is still a lie and it is not correct to do so that often.......

i totally agree with you when you say that people dont even notice when they lie and that thy do it because they think that it is the right thing to do. you point out good facts and talk about things really well! good job! :]
ReplyDeleteI agree with you when you say that no matter what, a lie is still a lie and I feel like maybe the right thing to do in a situation where someone asks for your opinion would be to just be honest because they obviously want to know what you think and if there not willing to hear an answer that they don't want to then maybe they shouldn't be asking in the first place. I also agree that people convince themselves that lieing is a good thing without really understanding the outcome. Good job and I like that your willing to question whether or not lieing really is right.
